Woven bag manufacturers

When sourcing woven bags (typically PP/Polypropylene), you must prioritize GSM (Grams per Square Meter), which determines the fabric's strength; for heavy-duty industrial use, a GSM of 70-120g is standard. Additionally, verify the denier count (thickness of the yarn) and the mesh density (e.g., 10x10 or 12x12 per inch) to ensure the bag can withstand the required Safe Working Load (SWL). For outdoor storage, ensure the material includes UV stabilizers to prevent degradation from sunlight.

For food applications (like flour, rice, or sugar), the supplier must provide FDA or EU Food Contact compliance certifications. Ensure the bags are produced in a dust-free workshop and that the raw materials are 100% virgin polypropylene, as recycled materials may contain contaminants. Look for manufacturers with ISO 22000 or HACCP certifications to guarantee food safety management systems are in place.

B2B buyers can choose between BOPP film lamination for high-quality photographic printing or standard flexographic printing for simple logos. Functional customizations include PE inner liners for moisture protection, easy-open tops, and gusseted sides to improve pallet stacking stability. Always request a pre-production sample to verify color accuracy and print alignment before mass production.

Conduct a drop test (typically from 1.2 to 1.5 meters) to ensure the seams and fabric do not burst under pressure. Check the stitching quality, specifically looking for double-thread chain stitches at the bottom for reinforced strength. You should also verify the tensile strength of both the fabric and the handles using a calibrated testing machine to ensure they meet your specific load-bearing requirements.

The most common risk is material substitution, where a supplier uses a percentage of recycled PP to lower costs, resulting in brittle bags. To mitigate this, specify '100% Virgin Material' in the contract and use third-party inspection services like SGS to perform a material composition analysis. Another risk is quantity discrepancies; ensure your packing list is verified during the container loading process.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers; because woven bag production is highly automated, unit costs drop significantly as volume increases. Negotiate based on raw material price indexes (PP resin prices) to ensure fair market value. For long-term partnerships, request flexible MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) for new product trials in exchange for a commitment to larger annual volumes.

Woven bags are lightweight but bulky, so vacuum compression packing can significantly reduce the volume and lower sea freight costs. Use FOB (Free On Board) terms to maintain control over your shipping lines and costs. For large orders, ensure the supplier uses high-quality pallets and shrink-wrapping to prevent shifting and damage during transit in the shipping container.

Always utilize Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is only released after the supplier provides proof of shipment. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts; always pay to the verified corporate account listed on the supplier's profile. For large-scale orders, consider using a Letter of Credit (L/C) to protect both parties against default.
