Wholesale lamp manufacturers

When evaluating lamps, focus on Luminous Efficacy (lm/W) to ensure energy efficiency and Color Rendering Index (CRI), where a CRI > 80 is standard for residential use and CRI > 90 is preferred for high-end retail. Additionally, verify the Driver Quality, as the LED driver is the component most prone to failure; ensure it has over-voltage and over-temperature protection.

Compliance is region-specific: for the US market, UL or ETL listing is critical for safety, along with FCC certification for electromagnetic interference. For the EU, ensure products carry the CE mark and comply with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and ErP (Energy-related Products) directives. For the UK, the UKCA mark is now required.

Request LM-80 and TM-21 reports from the supplier, which provide data on lumen maintenance and projected LED life. For outdoor or industrial lamps, check the IP Rating (e.g., IP65 for waterproof) and IK Rating (impact protection). A reputable manufacturer should offer a warranty of at least 3 to 5 years.

Examine the Heat Sink material; die-cast aluminum is superior to plastic for heat dissipation, which extends LED life. For decorative lamps, inspect the surface treatment (powder coating vs. electroplating) for consistency and resistance to corrosion or oxidation.

Always conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) using a third-party agency. Use the AQL (Acceptance Quality Limit) standard to define the number of allowable defects. Specifically for lamps, insist on a 48-hour aging test for the entire batch to identify early-stage component failures before the goods leave the factory.

Negotiate based on component transparency. Ask for a breakdown of the cost (LED chip brand, driver brand, housing material). You can often achieve a 5-10% price reduction by committing to a forecasted annual volume rather than a single spot order, or by optimizing the packaging volume to reduce shipping costs per unit.

Ensure the supplier uses 5-layer corrugated export cartons and molded foam (EPS or EPE) rather than loose bubble wrap. For large wholesale orders, specify palletization with shrink wrap to prevent crushing during sea freight. On Made-in-China.com, you can vet suppliers who have a proven track record of secure export packaging.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by reputable B2B platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Avoid using non-traceable payment methods. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) clearly states the incoterms (e.g., FOB, CIF) and detailed product specifications to serve as a legal basis for disputes.
