White stone statues manufacturers

Buyers should distinguish between Natural Marble (such as Carrara or Sichuan White), Granite, and Cast Stone (Resin/Concrete). Natural marble offers the most exquisite detail and translucency but is porous; ensure the supplier uses high-grade blocks without internal cracks or yellow veins. For outdoor durability in harsh climates, White Granite is superior due to its hardness and resistance to acid rain.

Request high-definition videos of the finishing process. Look for hand-carved details in intricate areas like hair, fingers, and drapery, as machine-cut (CNC) statues often require manual refinement to achieve a premium look. Ensure the surface treatment (polished, honed, or antique) is consistent across the entire batch to avoid visual discrepancies in large projects.

For large installations, request structural stability calculations and ensure the statue includes pre-drilled holes for stainless steel rebar anchoring. If the product is for public spaces, verify compliance with ASTM or EN standards for stone strength. Additionally, ensure the stone is treated with non-toxic, eco-friendly water-repellent sealers to prevent biological growth and staining.

The Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) must include the crating fee, sea freight, and destination port handling. Because stone is heavy, shipping costs can often exceed the product value. To optimize costs, source from regions with direct access to quarries and look for suppliers on Made-in-China.com who offer professional fumigated wooden crate packaging to minimize transit damage.

The biggest risks are breakage during transit and material substitution. Always insist on Full Insurance (All Risks) for shipping. To prevent material fraud, require the supplier to provide photos of the raw stone blocks before carving begins and use third-party inspection services to verify the stone type and dimensions before final crating.

Negotiate a milestone payment structure: 30% deposit, 40% after carving completion (verified by video/photo), and 30% after passing a pre-shipment inspection. Demand a quality guarantee period of at least 2-5 years against natural cracking or severe discoloration, and ensure these terms are clearly stated in the Sales Confirmation.

Stone statues must be packed in solid, IPPC-certified fumigated wooden crates with internal shock-absorbing foam or straw. For statues over 500kg, ensure the crate has a reinforced base for forklift access. When shipping to countries with strict environmental laws (like the US or EU), ensure the Fumigation Certificate is included in the shipping documents to avoid customs delays.

Utilize the Secured Trading services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payments. Prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone on-site factory inspections by independent bodies like SGS or Bureau Veritas. This confirms the supplier has the actual manufacturing capacity and isn't just a middleman.
