Tamper evident bag manufacturers

When sourcing tamper-evident bags, you must prioritize the security seal technology. Look for Level 4 or Level 5 security tape that shows visible evidence of tampering via heat, cold (freon), chemicals, or mechanical manipulation. The bag material should be High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) or Co-extruded LDPE with a thickness of at least 50-70 microns to prevent punctures. Additionally, ensure the presence of wide reinforced side seals with security printing to prevent side-cutting and resealing.

For B2B procurement, ensure the bags feature unique alphanumeric numbering and matching barcodes (1D or 2D/QR) for digital tracking. If you are shipping to the US or Europe, verify if the supplier meets ISO 17712 standards or specific banking industry protocols. For forensic or medical applications, look for leak-proof certifications and compliance with UN3373 biological substance regulations if applicable.

Professional buyers should request customized surface printing that includes writing blocks for signatures, dates, and contents. Dual-compartment designs are useful for separating documents from cash or samples. Furthermore, ensure the supplier can provide tear-off receipts with matching serial numbers, which serve as a vital chain-of-custody record for the sender.

Always check for the 'Audited Supplier' badge on Made-in-China.com, which indicates the supplier has undergone on-site verification by third-party agencies like SGS or Bureau Veritas. Review their production capacity to ensure they can handle bulk orders without compromising the integrity of the security glue, which can degrade if stored in improper conditions before shipping.

The primary risk is adhesive failure due to extreme temperature fluctuations during sea freight. You should negotiate for climate-controlled storage or ensure the packaging uses all-weather high-tack adhesives. Another risk is counterfeiting of serial numbers; ensure your contract specifies that no duplicate numbers are permitted within a single production run or across multiple orders.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Ask for tiered pricing based on volume, as high-speed extrusion lines significantly reduce costs at quantities over 50,000 units. Request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) where a random sample is tested for seal strength and tamper-indicator triggers before final payment is released via Secure Payment services.
