Tablet tissue manufacturers

The most critical factor is the material composition. You should prioritize 100% Viscose (Rayon) or Bamboo Fiber for their superior biodegradability and absorbency. Avoid blends with high polyester content as they feel 'plastic-like' and have poor water retention. Ensure the weight is between 40gsm to 60gsm to prevent tearing when expanded.

Since these products come into contact with skin, they must meet strict hygiene standards. Look for SGS or Intertek testing reports verifying they are fluorescent-free and hypoallergenic. For the EU market, REACH compliance is essential, while for the US, ensure the product meets FDA standards for non-woven materials. If claiming eco-friendliness, verify FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certification.

A high-quality tablet tissue should expand fully within 2 to 4 seconds after adding a small amount of water. The compression should be firm enough to maintain its shape during transport but not so tight that it damages the fibers. Request a 'burst strength' test to ensure the tissue remains intact when used for scrubbing.

For retail, individual candy-style wrappers are standard for hygiene. For bulk industrial or restaurant use, tubes or large zip-lock bags are more cost-effective. If you are sourcing for a brand, ensure the supplier offers customized OEM printing on the wrapper with food-grade ink to prevent chemical leaching into the tissue.

The primary risk is moisture contamination during sea freight. If the packaging is not airtight, humidity can cause the tissues to partially expand or develop mold. Always insist on desiccant packs in the master cartons and verify that the outer shipping cartons are 5-layer corrugated fiberboard to prevent crushing.

Tablet tissues are high-volume, low-margin items. Aim for a tiered pricing strategy where the unit price drops significantly at 50,000+ units. Negotiate for free samples but offer to cover the express shipping cost to show serious intent. Ask if the supplier can provide customized packaging at a lower MOQ (e.g., 10,000 units) by using digital printing instead of rotogravure.

Always use secured payment terms and consider using the Star Direct or Secured Trading services provided by Made-in-China.com. Never pay 100% upfront; a standard 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is recommended. For first-time large orders, hire a third-party inspection service to conduct a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) to verify quantity and hygiene conditions.

Because tablet tissues are lightweight but dense, they are ideal for sea freight (LCL or FCL) to minimize costs. Ensure the HS Code (typically 5603 or 4818) is correctly declared to avoid customs delays. For US-bound shipments, be aware of anti-dumping duties that may apply to certain paper-based products, though pure viscose non-wovens usually fall under different categories.
