String bags manufacturers

For promotional giveaways, 210D polyester is the industry standard due to its cost-effectiveness and lightweight nature. For retail or heavy-duty use, upgrade to 420D or 600D polyester, or heavyweight canvas (8oz-12oz) for better durability. If targeting eco-conscious markets, specify RPET (Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate) or GOTS-certified organic cotton to meet sustainability demands.

Focus on the reinforced corners; high-quality string bags should feature PU leather or double-layered fabric triangles at the base where the drawstrings attach. Request cross-stitching (X-stitch) at stress points and verify the cord diameter (typically 3mm to 8mm)—thicker cords prevent shoulder digging and increase the bag's lifespan under load.

For simple logos (1-3 colors), silk-screen printing is the most economical for bulk orders. For complex, multi-color designs or photos, Heat Transfer Printing or Digital Direct-to-Film (DTF) is preferred. Ensure the supplier uses eco-friendly, non-toxic inks that pass wash-fastness tests to prevent peeling or fading after use.

For the US market, products must comply with CPSIA (especially regarding lead content in grommets and phthalates in coatings). For the EU market, REACH compliance is essential to ensure no harmful chemicals are present in the synthetic fibers. Always request a Certificate of Compliance (CoC) or third-party lab reports from agencies like SGS or Intertek.

Always utilize Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading Service to ensure payment is only released upon confirmation of receipt. Conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) through a third-party agency to verify stitching density, dimensions, and print accuracy before the goods leave the factory. Ordering a pre-production sample (PPS) is non-negotiable to align on material feel and color accuracy (Pantone matching).

Beyond the unit price, negotiate the MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) for different colors within the same total volume. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 1k, 5k, 10k units) and discuss packaging optimization—vacuum packing or high-compression folding can significantly reduce shipping volume and freight costs by up to 20%.

Clarify the Incoterms clearly; FOB (Free On Board) is recommended for buyers with their own freight forwarders, while DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is better for those who want the supplier to handle all customs clearance and import duties. Ensure the HS Code (typically 4202.92) is correctly declared on the Commercial Invoice to avoid customs delays or incorrect tariff applications.

Verify the supplier's Audit Report and Gold Member status on Made-in-China.com to confirm their manufacturing capabilities. Avoid direct wire transfers to private bank accounts; always use official corporate accounts verified by the platform. Maintain all communication within the platform's messaging system to ensure a documented trail in case of disputes.
