Soft bullet manufacturers

High-quality soft bullets are primarily made from EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl Acetate) foam, which provides the necessary balance of lightweight flexibility and structural integrity. The tip should be made of thermoplastic rubber (TPR) or soft plastic. For B2B buyers, it is crucial to ensure the foam has a high-density cell structure to prevent jamming in automatic blasters and that the adhesive bond between the tip and the foam body can withstand high-velocity tension without detaching.

As these are classified as toy components, they must strictly adhere to international safety standards. For the US market, ASTM F963 is mandatory, while the EU requires EN71 (Parts 1, 2, and 3) certification. Specifically, you must verify that the materials are phthalate-free and lead-free. Additionally, ensure the product meets kinetic energy density limits to prevent injury, especially if sourcing 'hard-tip' or 'waffle-tip' variants.

The tip design determines the target market: Suction cup tips are ideal for indoor target practice on smooth surfaces; Waffle tips (hollow-out design) offer the highest aerodynamic accuracy for competitive play; and Solid flat tips provide better range but require stricter safety padding. Buyers should select the design based on whether their end-users are casual hobbyists or professional competitive gamers.

Standardization is key. Most global brands utilize the 7.2cm x 1.2cm dimension. You must confirm with the supplier that their molding tolerance is within ±0.05mm. If the diameter is too wide, it will cause friction jams; if too narrow, it will result in low muzzle velocity. For high-end motorized blasters, the foam must be stiff enough to be gripped by flywheel systems without shredding.

Always request a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). For soft bullets, the most common defect is 'tip-glue failure.' Instruct the inspector to perform a pull-test on a random sample of 100 units. Furthermore, utilize Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure that payment is only released once the quality benchmarks and shipping documents are verified.

Soft bullets are low-weight but high-volume (low density), meaning you will likely be charged based on volumetric weight. To optimize shipping costs, negotiate for vacuum-compressed packaging or bulk polybagging instead of individual retail boxes. For large orders, FCL (Full Container Load) is significantly more cost-effective than LCL due to the bulky nature of foam.

Ensure the product design does not infringe on existing patents of major toy conglomerates. Avoid 'knock-off' color schemes that mimic famous brands too closely. When clearing customs, ensure the HS Code (typically 9503.00) is correctly declared and that all Test Reports (SGS or Intertek) are attached to the commercial invoice to avoid lengthy seizures by customs authorities.

Focus on MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) flexibility for new designs. A professional buyer should ask for a tiered pricing structure (e.g., 10k, 50k, and 100k units). Since raw EVA material prices fluctuate, consider signing a price-lock agreement for 6-12 months to stabilize your supply chain costs against oil price volatility.
