Plastic shuttering panels manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize PP (Polypropylene) hollow plastic templates or PVC-based composite panels. These materials offer high impact resistance and alkali resistance. Ensure the panel thickness is consistent (typically 12mm, 15mm, or 18mm) with a density exceeding 0.6g/cm³ to prevent deformation under the pressure of wet concrete. Look for panels with UV-stabilized additives if they will be stored or used in high-temperature outdoor environments.

A high-quality plastic shuttering panel should support 60 to 100 reuses, significantly reducing the cost per use compared to plywood. Verify the Shore Hardness (D); a rating of 70D or higher indicates better scratch resistance. Ask for thermal expansion coefficient data to ensure the panels won't buckle in extreme heat, and confirm that the panels can be nailed, sawed, and drilled just like wood without cracking.

Ensure the products meet ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental standards. For specific mechanical properties, request ASTM D638 (tensile strength) and ASTM D790 (flexural strength) test reports. If the project is in the EU, CE marking is essential. Additionally, verify if the material is 100% recyclable, as this aligns with modern green building certifications like LEED.

Plastic panels are 100% waterproof, meaning they do not rot or swell, and they require no release agents (mold oil), which saves labor costs and ensures a smooth concrete finish (fair-faced concrete). They are also lighter in weight, making them easier for workers to handle, which can increase installation efficiency by 30%.

Always request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency like SGS or Intertek. Specifically, instruct them to perform a loading test and a drop test to check for brittleness. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to ensure that payment is only released to the supplier once the shipping documents are verified and the goods meet the agreed-upon specifications.

For plastic panels, pricing is heavily influenced by raw material resin costs. Negotiate based on weight per square meter rather than just unit price to ensure the supplier doesn't reduce material density to lower the cost. For initial orders, aim for a trial MOQ of 100-200 pieces, but highlight your long-term project pipeline to secure bulk discounts of 10-15% on full container loads (FCL).

Plastic panels are bulky; therefore, FCL (Full Container Load) shipping is the most economical method. Ensure the supplier uses fumigation-free pallets and edge protectors to prevent corner damage during transit. Specify CIF or DAP incoterms if you want the supplier to handle the complexities of international freight, but ensure the HS Code (typically 3921 or 3926) is correctly declared to avoid customs delays and incorrect duty applications.
