Moon ball price manufacturers

The price of a Moon Ball is primarily driven by its material composition and bounce performance. High-quality Moon Balls are typically made from high-density Zero-Gravity foam (polyurethane), which allows for extreme bounce heights. You should look for a porous 'crater' design that is precision-molded to create a unique 'pop' sound upon impact. Ensure the ball has a diameter of approximately 63mm to 70mm for optimal grip and portability. Weight consistency (usually around 50-55g) is a key indicator of manufacturing quality control.

Since Moon Balls are classified as toys, they must meet strict safety standards. For the US market, compliance with ASTM F963 and CPSIA (Lead and Phthalates) is mandatory. For the EU market, the product must carry the CE Mark and comply with EN71 (Parts 1, 2, and 3). It is crucial to verify that the foam material is non-toxic and BPA-free to avoid customs seizures or legal liabilities.

Customization significantly impacts the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) and price. Adding a custom logo via silk-screen printing usually adds $0.05 to $0.15 per unit, while custom colorways (Pantone matching) may require an MOQ of 3,000+ units. Specialized retail packaging (like blister packs or PDQ display boxes) will increase the landed cost but is essential for B2C brand positioning.

Moon Balls are versatile high-margin items used in active play retail, physical therapy (hand-eye coordination), and corporate promotional gifting. Their high-rebound elasticity makes them popular for outdoor sports and pet toys. Buyers should select different hardness levels (Shore A durometer) based on whether the target audience is children (softer) or professional athletes (firmer).

The biggest risk is material substitution, where suppliers use cheaper, low-density foam that loses elasticity quickly. To mitigate this, always request a pre-production sample and perform a 'bounce test' (dropping from 1 meter to measure return height). Another risk is intellectual property infringement; ensure the design does not violate existing patents held by brands like Waboba.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers. For example, ask for a 10-15% discount when moving from 1,000 to 5,000 units. Negotiate payment terms such as 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L). Mention that you are looking for a long-term strategic partner to encourage more competitive initial quotes.

Because Moon Balls are lightweight but high-volume (low density), they are prone to high volumetric weight charges. For large orders, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most economical. For smaller trial orders, Air Freight or Express (DHL/FedEx) is faster but can double the unit cost. Always ask your supplier to vacuum-pack or optimize carton dimensions to reduce wasted space.

Always use Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payment. Prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone third-party verification by SGS or TÜV Rheinland. Ensure all technical requirements, packaging details, and inspection standards are clearly documented in the Proforma Invoice (PI) before sending any funds.
