Mma cage manufacturers

When evaluating an MMA cage, prioritize the frame material, which should be heavy-duty galvanized steel with a wall thickness of at least 3.0mm to ensure structural integrity. The wire mesh must be vinyl-coated to prevent skin abrasions and have a diameter of at least 4mm-5mm to resist deformation under high impact. For the flooring, ensure the EVA foam padding has a density of 20kg/cbm or higher and a thickness of 3cm-5cm to provide adequate shock absorption for athletes.

Buyers must ensure the product complies with international sports equipment safety standards. Key certifications include ISO 9001 for manufacturing quality and CE marking for structural safety. It is critical to verify that the PVC leather cover is anti-slip, anti-static, and fire-retardant (B1 grade). Additionally, ensure the padding for poles and rails uses high-density XPE or EPE foam to meet professional competition safety requirements.

Durability is determined by the welding quality and surface treatment. Look for full-penetration welding at joints rather than spot welding. The steel components should be powder-coated to prevent rust and corrosion, especially in humid gym environments. Request impact test reports for the mesh and tensile strength data for the floor canvas (typically 18oz to 22oz vinyl) to ensure it can withstand years of rigorous footwork and grappling.

Professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com usually offer OEM/ODM services. This includes custom sizing (standard 4m to 9m diameters), logo printing on the floor canvas and corner pads, and color matching for the frame and padding. You should also confirm if the supplier can provide modular designs that allow for easier assembly, disassembly, and potential relocation of the cage.

The main risks include shipping damage and missing components. Due to the weight and volume, frames can bend if not properly crated. Always insist on reinforced plywood crate packaging rather than just bubble wrap. Furthermore, ensure a detailed packing list is provided to verify every bolt, nut, and pole is present upon arrival, as sourcing replacement parts locally can be difficult and expensive.

Utilize Trade Assurance or secure payment terms through Made-in-China.com to protect your capital. Negotiate a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment after providing a third-party inspection report or video factory audit. Clearly define the Lead Time in the contract, as custom cages typically take 15-25 days to manufacture, and delays can impact your gym's opening schedule.

MMA cages are high-volume, heavy goods, making Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) the only economically feasible option. For a full-size 7m or 9m cage, a 20GP container is often the most cost-effective method. Ensure the supplier provides the HS Code (typically 950691) correctly to avoid customs delays and verify the import duties in your specific country to calculate the Total Landed Cost accurately.
