Lambs wool fabric manufacturers

When sourcing lambs wool or 'Sherpa' style fleece, you must prioritize Gram Weight (GSM); a range of 300-500 GSM is standard for high-quality apparel and home textiles. Additionally, verify the composition (100% polyester vs. wool blends) and pile height, as these directly impact the hand-feel and thermal insulation. Ensure the fabric has undergone anti-pilling treatment to maintain its aesthetic after repeated use.

To ensure market access, especially in the US and EU, the fabric should meet OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 for chemical safety. For products intended for children, CPSIA compliance is mandatory. If the fabric contains genuine wool, request a Non-Mulesing certificate or Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) documentation to satisfy ethical sourcing requirements.

Request a colorfastness test report (Grade 4 or higher) to ensure the dye does not bleed during washing. Conduct a shrinkage test, aiming for less than 3% variance. It is highly recommended to use a third-party inspection service to check for weaving defects, oil stains, or uneven pile distribution across the entire fabric roll before it leaves the factory.

This fabric is highly versatile, primarily used for outerwear lining, winter hoodies, and blankets. In the home decor sector, it is trending for upholstery on accent chairs and decorative pillows. For the pet industry, it is a staple material for premium pet beds due to its warmth and soft texture.

The most significant risk is quality inconsistency between the golden sample and the bulk production. Variations in dye lot colors (metamerism) can also occur. To mitigate this, always use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services and insist on a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to ensure the bulk matches the approved specifications.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., discounts for 1,000+ meters) and clarify Incoterms (FOB is generally preferred for better freight control). Ensure the contract includes a defective goods return policy and clearly defined lead times, typically 15-25 days for standard colors.

Lambs wool is bulky; therefore, request vacuum compression packaging to reduce the volume and save on ocean freight costs. However, ensure the supplier uses high-quality bags to prevent permanent pile crushing. For shipping to the US or Europe, ensure all Customs HS Codes (typically Chapter 60 for knitted fabrics) are accurately declared to avoid clearance delays.

Always verify the supplier's Business License and Audit Reports on Made-in-China.com. Use Escrow-based payment methods where funds are only released upon confirmation of receipt and quality. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts; always pay through verified corporate accounts listed on the platform.
