Knitted tie manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize 100% Mulberry Silk for luxury markets due to its natural sheen and soft hand-feel, or High-Density Polyester/Microfiber for budget-friendly, durable options. Ensure the knit density is high enough to prevent the tie from losing its shape (stretching) when hung. For premium textures, look for 'Cri de la Soie' (crunch of silk) characteristics in the knit pattern.

Unlike woven ties, knitted ties usually feature a square bottom (horizontal finish). Check for a grosgrain neckband reinforcement, which prevents the knitted fabric from stretching around the collar. Ensure the hand-finished seams at the back are secure and that the tipping/lining (if any) is neatly attached without visible threads.

Suppliers typically offer various knit patterns such as Birdseye, Zigzag, or Pointelle. For branding, you can request custom woven labels or embroidered logos. Ensure the supplier can match specific Pantone colors to maintain brand consistency, and verify if they offer custom lengths (standard 145-150cm) and widths (typically 6cm to 7cm).

To ensure market entry, verify that the dyes used are Azo-free and compliant with REACH (EU) or CPSIA (US) regulations. For sustainable product lines, prioritize suppliers with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 or GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certifications, especially if using recycled polyester.

Always request a pre-production sample (PPS) to verify the 'crunch' and elasticity of the knit. Utilize third-party inspection services (like V-Trust or QIMA) to perform a Final Random Inspection (FRI), focusing on color shading and dimensional stability. Ensure the contract specifies a defect rate of less than 1.5%.

Knitted ties often have lower MOQs than woven ties because the machinery is more flexible. Aim for an MOQ of 50-100 pieces per color. When negotiating, leverage seasonal volume forecasts to secure a lower unit price. On platforms like Made-in-China.com, look for 'Diamond Members' or 'Audited Suppliers' to ensure you are dealing with established factories rather than small trading workshops.

Knitted ties are prone to snagging and moisture damage. Require each tie to be packed in an individual polybag (OPP bag) with a silica gel desiccant. For bulk shipping, use double-walled corrugated boxes and ensure the ties are laid flat or rolled loosely to avoid permanent creasing during long-transit sea freight.

Use Secured Payment services provided by reputable B2B platforms like Made-in-China.com to hold funds in escrow until shipping documents are verified. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts; always pay to the company’s registered corporate account and verify the Business License matches the bank account name.
