Ketchup bottles manufacturers

Buyers must choose between BPA-free PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) for clarity and recyclability, or PP (Polypropylene) for superior heat resistance and squeeze-back memory. For high-end food service, Glass bottles are preferred for their premium feel and zero chemical migration, though they increase shipping costs due to weight.

Suppliers must provide FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) or EU Regulation No 10/2011 certifications to ensure the plastic does not leach harmful chemicals into acidic condiments. Additionally, look for ISO 22000 (Food Safety Management) and LFGB (German food contact grade) for high-standard European markets.

The choice of cap is critical for user experience. Silicone valve caps are the industry standard for 'no-drip' functionality and hygiene. For bulk industrial use, flip-top caps with induction seals are essential to prevent leakage during transit and ensure tamper-evident security for the end consumer.

Evaluate the wall thickness (measured in mm) to ensure the bottle can withstand repeated squeezing without cracking. A multi-layer co-extrusion (EVOH layer) is recommended if the ketchup requires a long shelf life, as it provides an oxygen barrier to prevent oxidation and color change of the sauce.

Request double-wall corrugated export cartons and ensure the supplier uses palletization with shrink wrap for sea freight. For large orders, a Drop Test Report (ISTA 1A) should be requested to verify that the packaging can withstand the rigors of cross-border logistics.

Focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for free mold customization if your volume exceeds 50,000 units, and request tiered pricing where the unit cost drops by 10-15% as you move from a 20ft to a 40ft container.

Utilize Secured Trading Services on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until shipment. Always hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to check for defects such as 'black spots' in the plastic or faulty cap seals.

Verify the HS Code (typically 392330 for plastic bottles) to calculate accurate import duties in your country. Be aware of Anti-Dumping duties that some regions apply to specific plastic products, and ensure the Country of Origin (COO) certificate is provided to leverage any existing Free Trade Agreements.
