Jade bangle manufacturers

It is critical to verify the treatment level of the jade. Type A refers to natural jadeite that has only been surface waxed; Type B involves acid bleaching and polymer impregnation to improve clarity; and Type C is chemically dyed. For B2B procurement, you should strictly prioritize Type A jadeite to ensure long-term value and consumer safety, as Type B and C can deteriorate or cause skin irritation over time.

You must specify the inner diameter (measured in mm), the width (bar thickness), and the shape profile (e.g., Princess round, Flat/D-shape, or Oval/Elliptical). Additionally, define the translucency level (water head) and color saturation. Requesting a refractive index of 1.66 and a density of 3.33g/cm³ in the technical specs helps ensure the material is genuine jadeite.

Every high-value bangle must be accompanied by a GTC (Gemological Training Centre) or NGTC certificate, which are the gold standards for jade identification in China. For the US market, ensure compliance with the Lead and Cadmium limits under Proposition 65 if the jade is part of a metal-set jewelry piece. Always verify that the supplier provides traceable identification codes that can be checked on official laboratory websites.

Focus on the 'Four Cs' of Jade: Color (vibrancy and uniformity), Clarity (absence of cracks or 'stone lines'), Cut (symmetry and polish), and Cracks. Use a strong-light flashlight (penlight) to inspect for internal fractures; vertical cracks significantly reduce structural integrity and value, whereas horizontal 'stone grain' is often a natural characteristic.

The biggest risk is 'Product Substitution', where the sample is Type A but the bulk shipment contains Type B or C jade. To mitigate this, use third-party inspection services to randomly test pieces from the batch before final payment. Another risk is fragility during transit; ensure the supplier uses vacuum-sealed individual padding and double-walled corrugated boxes to prevent breakage.

Jade is often priced by 'lots' rather than fixed units due to natural variations. Negotiate a tiered pricing model based on the grade of the raw stone. For startups, look for suppliers on Made-in-China.com that offer low MOQs (e.g., 5-10 pieces) for trial orders. Always ask for a 'Volume Discount' of 10-15% when moving from sample phase to a full 'lot' purchase.

Always utilize Secured Payment services provided by the platform to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. For shipping, choose Air Freight with full insurance coverage (e.g., DHL or FedEx) rather than sea freight to minimize the time the high-value goods are in the logistics chain. Ensure the HS Code (7113.19) is correctly declared to avoid customs delays and ensure proper duty calculation.
