Grader manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize the Engine Power (HP) and Operating Weight, as these determine the machine's blade pull and traction. For heavy-duty road construction, a grader with 180-220 HP is standard. Additionally, inspect the Moldboard (Blade) Width—typically 12 to 14 feet—and ensure it features a 360-degree circle rotation with a high-quality hydraulic side-shift for versatile positioning. Look for Load-Sensing Hydraulic Systems to improve fuel efficiency and provide smoother control for precision leveling.

Ensure the equipment complies with ISO 9248 for earth-moving machinery. For the North American market, EPA Tier 4 Final emission standards are required, while the EU market necessitates Stage V compliance and CE Marking. For global safety, verify that the cabin meets ROPS (Roll-Over Protective Structure) and FOPS (Falling Object Protective Structure) certifications to ensure operator safety on-site.

Focus on the Frame Construction; a high-strength flanged box section is preferred for absorbing high-torque stresses. Check the Blade Material, which should be made of high-carbon steel or heat-treated alloy for abrasion resistance. Request documentation on the Transmission Type—reputable suppliers often use Power Shift transmissions with at least 6 forward and 3 reverse speeds to ensure operational flexibility in various soil conditions.

Modern procurement should focus on GPS/GNSS Grade Control System compatibility, which allows for automated precision leveling and reduces material waste. Furthermore, ensure the machine is equipped with a Telematics System for remote monitoring of fuel consumption, engine health, and GPS location, which is vital for fleet management and predictive maintenance.

Due to the oversized nature of graders, Ro-Ro (Roll-on/Roll-off) shipping is the most common and safest method. However, to save on costs, some buyers opt for Flat Rack containers or disassembling the machine (removing the blade and cabin) to fit into standard 40HC containers. Always confirm the Incoterms; CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) is often preferred for new buyers, but FOB (Free on Board) allows experienced buyers better control over local logistics and port fees.

Start by requesting a Factory Audit Report or a video walkthrough of the production line to verify manufacturing capacity. Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price; ask for a spare parts package (filters, seals, cutting edges) to be included for the first 2,000 hours of operation. For bulk orders of 3+ units, aim for a 5-8% price reduction or an extended powertrain warranty of 24 months.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon confirmation of shipment. It is highly recommended to hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or BV) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). The inspector should verify the VIN number, perform a hydraulic pressure test, and ensure the engine serial number matches the commercial invoice to prevent fraud.

Before finalizing the purchase, confirm if the supplier has local service partners or a bonded warehouse for spare parts in your region. Ask for a Technical Support Guarantee, ensuring they provide English-language Service Manuals and Parts Catalogs. Verify that the engine and hydraulic components are from global brands (e.g., Cummins, ZF, or Rexroth), as this makes sourcing replacement parts locally much easier if the manufacturer's support is delayed.
