Geely auto parts manufacturers

When sourcing Geely parts, you must distinguish between Genuine Parts (OEM), Original Equipment Supplier (OES) parts, and Aftermarket (AF) parts. Genuine parts should come in official Geely packaging with anti-counterfeit labels and unique QR codes that can be verified through Geely's official tracking system. For aftermarket parts, ensure the supplier holds ISO/TS 16949 or IATF 16494 certifications, which are the global standards for automotive quality management systems.

The most critical factor is the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) and the OEM Part Number. Geely has various platforms (such as CMA and BMA) and sub-brands (Lynk & Co, Zeekr). You must provide the 17-digit VIN to the supplier to cross-reference the electronic parts catalog (EPC). Pay close attention to engine codes (e.g., JLH-3G15TD) and transmission types, as specifications vary significantly between domestic Chinese versions and export versions (e.g., Emgrand, Coolray, or Tugella).

Parts must meet the destination country's regulatory requirements. For the European Union, look for E-mark (ECE R90 for brake parts) and CE certification. For the United States, ensure compliance with DOT and FMVSS standards. Additionally, ensure that all rubber and plastic components comply with REACH or RoHS to avoid customs seizures due to hazardous substances.

Request third-party lab test reports focusing on material composition and stress testing. For suspension parts, check salt spray test results (minimum 240-480 hours) to ensure corrosion resistance. For engine components, verify heat resistance and pressure tolerance levels. It is highly recommended to order a sample batch to conduct a fitment test and physical comparison against an original part before committing to a bulk container order.

The primary risks include incorrect fitment due to regional model variations and intellectual property (IP) infringement if selling counterfeit branded goods. To mitigate this, use Made-in-China.com's 'Audited Supplier' reports to verify if the vendor is a legitimate factory or a licensed distributor. Always use Secure Payment services to ensure funds are only released after the shipping documents are verified.

Negotiate based on Annual Purchase Volume (APV) rather than individual orders to secure a 10-20% discount. Demand a Quality Assurance Agreement (QAA) that specifies a defect rate of less than 0.5% and outlines clear compensation terms. For transaction security, prioritize suppliers who offer Trade Assurance and insist on a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS or Intertek to confirm the quantity and quality match the Proforma Invoice.

Auto parts like windshields or body panels are fragile, while engines are heavy. Insist on neutral, reinforced 5-layer corrugated boxes or wooden crates (ISPM 15 compliant) for sea freight. For liquid-related parts (like shock absorbers), ensure they are degassed or sealed according to international air/sea dangerous goods regulations. Always choose CIF or DAP terms if you are unfamiliar with local customs clearance, but ensure the HS Codes (typically Chapter 87) are accurately declared to avoid heavy fines.
