Fruit salad cups manufacturers

When sourcing fruit salad cups, prioritize Food-Grade PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) for high clarity and recyclability, or PP (Polypropylene) if the product requires heat resistance. Ensure the material is BPA-free to meet international health standards. For eco-conscious markets, consider PLA (Polylactic Acid), which is biodegradable, but verify its temperature tolerance as it may deform under high heat.

Request samples to test the airtight seal integrity. Look for perimeter seal designs or plug-fit lids that provide a snap-lock closure. For pre-cut fruits that release gases, inquire about anti-fog coatings to maintain visual appeal and ventilation holes if specific respiration rates are needed to extend shelf life.

Suppliers must provide FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) or EU Regulation No 10/2011 compliance certificates for plastic materials in contact with food. Additionally, check for ISO 22000 or HACCP certifications, which ensure the manufacturer follows strict food safety management systems during production.

Most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer offset printing or flexographic printing for logos. For smaller volumes, custom pressure-sensitive labels are more cost-effective. Ensure the supplier can provide CMYK color matching and high-resolution printing to maintain brand consistency.

Disposable cups are lightweight but bulky and prone to crushing. Insist on 5-layer corrugated export cartons and the use of inner polybags to prevent dust contamination. Request palletization with shrink wrap to ensure stability during sea freight and reduce manual handling risks.

Focus on the weight per cup (grammage); a heavier cup is sturdier but increases costs. Negotiate based on raw material price indexing (e.g., linking price to current PET resin market rates). For long-term contracts, aim for a 5-10% discount on orders exceeding 100,000 units or request free mold customization for unique shapes.

Look for the 'Audited Supplier' badge, which indicates the supplier has been verified by third-party institutions like SGS or Bureau Veritas. Review their Audit Report to check their production capacity, factory floor area, and export experience to your specific region.

Due to the high volume-to-weight ratio, Sea Freight (FCL - Full Container Load) is the most economical method. Shipping LCL (Less than Container Load) may result in higher 'per unit' costs due to port charges. If you are a startup, consider Sea-to-Door (DDP) services to simplify customs clearance and local delivery.
