Eyeglass case manufacturers

For hard-shell cases, prioritize metal (iron or aluminum) or high-impact plastic (ABS) cores wrapped in PU leather or fabric to ensure maximum crush resistance. For soft pouches, look for microfiber or neoprene which offers scratch protection and portability. If you are targeting the eco-friendly market, sourcing cork, recycled PET, or biodegradable felt is highly recommended to meet modern sustainability standards.

Focus on the hinge mechanism for hard cases; it should pass a 10,000-cycle opening/closing test without losing tension. The inner lining must be made of non-abrasive flocked fabric or soft velvet to prevent lens scratching. For magnetic closures, ensure high-grade N52 magnets are used to prevent accidental opening during transit.

Since eyeglass cases are often sold as accessories to medical devices (spectacles), they must comply with REACH (EU) or California Proposition 65 (US) regarding lead, phthalates, and cadmium content in the outer skins. If the case is marketed for children, it must meet CPSIA standards. Always request Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for the adhesives used in the assembly process.

Suppliers on Made-in-China.com typically offer silk-screen printing, hot stamping (gold/silver foil), and debossing for logos. For high-end luxury positioning, consider custom-shaped molds and bespoke interior stitching. Ensure the supplier can provide Pantone color matching for both the exterior material and the microfiber cleaning cloth often bundled with the case.

Always request a pre-production sample (PPS) to verify the fit and finish. Implement a third-party inspection (FRI - Final Random Inspection) before the balance payment is made, focusing specifically on glue residue, odor levels, and structural alignment. Using Trade Messenger on Made-in-China.com ensures all specifications are documented within the platform for dispute resolution.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 1,000 vs. 5,000 units) and inquire if the packaging (individual polybags or gift boxes) is included in the quote. For long-term partnerships, negotiate favorable payment terms such as a 30% deposit and 70% against the Bill of Lading (B/L) copy.

Eyeglass cases are high-volume but low-weight (volumetric weight) items. To optimize costs, use Sea Freight (LCL) for bulk orders to minimize the impact of shipping on the unit price. If you are testing a new design, Air Freight is viable for small batches, but ensure the cases are nested or foldable (triangle cases) to reduce the shipping volume by up to 60%.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until delivery is confirmed.
