Electric light manufacturers

When sourcing LED electric lights, you must prioritize Luminous Efficacy (lm/W) to ensure energy efficiency; high-quality chips should provide at least 100-120 lm/W. Additionally, check the Color Rendering Index (CRI), where a CRI > 80 is standard for offices and CRI > 90 is essential for retail or galleries. The Driver Quality is the most critical component for longevity; ensure the use of flicker-free drivers with a Power Factor (PF) > 0.9 to prevent electrical waste and eye strain.

Compliance is non-negotiable in the lighting industry. For the US market, products must have UL or ETL listing for safety and FCC certification for electromagnetic interference. For the European market, CE marking (LVD and EMC directives) and RoHS compliance (restriction of hazardous substances) are mandatory. Additionally, ErP (Energy-related Products) regulations dictate energy labeling requirements in the EU. Always request valid test reports from accredited third-party labs like TUV, SGS, or Intertek.

Heat is the primary enemy of LED lifespan. Inspect the Heat Sink design; high-grade die-cast aluminum is superior to plastic-clad aluminum for heat dissipation. Ask for the L70 B50 lifetime rating, which indicates the hours (e.g., 50,000 hours) until the light output drops to 70%. For outdoor or industrial lights, verify the IP Rating (e.g., IP65 for waterproof/dustproof) and IK Rating (e.g., IK08 for impact resistance).

Professional suppliers on Made-in-China.com typically offer customization for Beam Angles (ranging from 15° to 120°), Color Temperatures (CCT from 2700K to 6500K), and Dimming Protocols (DALI, 0-10V, or Triac). You should also inquire about Smart Control integration (Zigbee, Wi-Fi, or Bluetooth Mesh) and the possibility of customizing the housing color (RAL codes) to match specific architectural requirements.

The biggest risk is quality inconsistency between samples and bulk production. To mitigate this, implement a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) focusing on a Functionality Test (power-on) and a Hi-Pot Test for electrical safety. Another risk is shipping damage due to fragile components; insist on 5-layer corrugated export cartons and drop-test certified packaging for glass or long linear fixtures.

Lighting is a volume-driven industry. You can often secure a 5-10% discount by increasing the order to a Full Container Load (FCL), which also reduces the risk of damage compared to LCL. If you are a startup, look for suppliers on Made-in-China.com that offer flexible MOQs (e.g., 50-100 units) for standard models, but be prepared to pay a premium for customized branding or packaging at low volumes.

Always use Secured Payment services provided by reputable platforms to ensure your funds are protected until the supplier proves shipment. For large orders, a standard payment term is 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L). Avoid using untraceable wire transfers to individual accounts; ensure the beneficiary name matches the company name on the Proforma Invoice and the business license.

Electric lights containing batteries (like emergency lights) are classified as Dangerous Goods (DG) and require specific MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) and UN38.3 reports for air freight. For sea freight, ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin to help you benefit from potential Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) that could lower import duties in your specific country.
