Discount perfume manufacturers

When sourcing perfumes, the Fragrance Concentration is the primary technical spec: Parfum (20-30%), Eau de Parfum (15-20%), and Eau de Toilette (5-15%). You must verify the Scent Longevity (typically 4-8 hours for quality EDP) and Olfactory Pyramid (Top, Middle, and Base notes). Ensure the Alcohol Purity is cosmetic grade (95-99% Ethanol) to prevent skin irritation and ensure a clean scent profile.

Perfumes are classified as chemical products and cosmetics. Suppliers must provide MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for shipping and IFRA (International Fragrance Association) compliance certificates to ensure ingredient safety. For the US market, FDA Registration is required, while the EU market necessitates CPNP (Cosmetic Product Notification Portal) registration and adherence to REACH regulations regarding restricted allergens.

To ensure safety in the discount segment, request Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) reports to analyze chemical composition. Verify that the supplier uses Lead-free Glass for bottles and Leak-proof Atomizers. Avoid 'counterfeit' goods; instead, focus on 'Inspired-by' scents or White Label brands that have their own Trademark Registrations to avoid legal seizures at customs.

Perfume is light and heat-sensitive. Ensure the supplier uses UV-coated glass or opaque secondary packaging. For shipping, Double-wall Corrugated Cartons with Internal Dividers are mandatory to prevent breakage. Since perfume is a Class 3 Flammable Liquid, packaging must meet UN-certified Dangerous Goods (DG) standards for air or sea freight.

Perfume contains high alcohol content and is classified as Dangerous Goods (UN1266). You must use a freight forwarder with a DG License. Shipping via standard courier without proper declaration can lead to Fines, Shipment Seizure, or Destruction. Always confirm if the supplier can provide the Dangerous Goods Declaration and if they have experience shipping to your specific destination country.

In the discount perfume market, Volume-Based Pricing is standard. Negotiate for a Tiered Discount Structure (e.g., 500 units vs. 5,000 units). For new buyers, suggest a Mixed-Scent MOQ to test market preference. Aim for a Target Unit Price that accounts for the high cost of DG Shipping Surcharges, which can sometimes equal the product cost itself.

Use secure payment methods like Escrow services on Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Before full payment, hire a Third-Party Inspection Agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to check for leakage, scent consistency, and packaging integrity.

Check the HS Code (typically 3303.00) for import duties in your country. Many regions impose Excise Taxes or Luxury Taxes on fragrances. Additionally, ensure the supplier provides a Certificate of Origin to potentially benefit from Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) which can significantly reduce or exempt import tariffs.
