Coq10 manufacturers

When sourcing CoQ10, you must prioritize purity levels (typically ≥98%) and the production method, which is usually microbial fermentation (natural) or chemical synthesis. For supplements, Ubiquinol is the reduced, more bioavailable form, while Ubiquinone is the oxidized, standard form. Ensure the particle size meets your formulation needs, such as USP/EP grade powders or CWS (Cold Water Soluble) powders for functional beverages.

Suppliers must provide GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certification and ISO 22000 or HACCP for food safety. For the US market, FDA registration and GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) status are critical. For European markets, compliance with EFSA regulations and Novel Food status (if applicable) is required. Always request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch to verify heavy metal limits and microbial purity.

CoQ10 is highly sensitive to light and heat. You should request stability testing data from the supplier to confirm the degradation rate under specific storage conditions. High-quality CoQ10 should have a shelf life of 24 to 36 months when stored in airtight, light-resistant containers at temperatures below 25°C. Verify if the supplier uses nitrogen-flushed packaging to prevent oxidation during transit.

The most significant risk is adulteration or sub-standard purity, where lower-grade synthetic material is mixed with fermentation-grade product. To mitigate this, use third-party testing (e.g., SGS or Eurofins) before final payment. Another risk is regulatory seizure if the labeling does not match the destination country's health claims requirements. Always ensure the HS Code (typically 2914.69) is correctly declared to avoid customs delays.

CoQ10 prices are subject to raw material market fluctuations. It is advisable to negotiate tiered pricing based on annual volume rather than single spot buys. For new buyers, seek an initial MOQ of 5kg to 25kg to test quality. Professional platforms like Made-in-China.com allow you to filter for Audited Suppliers, which provides leverage in negotiating Net-30 payment terms or Letter of Credit (L/C) options for large-scale orders.

Since CoQ10 has a low melting point (approx. 48°C), it can clump or degrade in high-temperature shipping containers. For cross-border transit, specify temperature-controlled shipping or avoid shipping during peak summer months for non-refrigerated containers. Ensure the outer packaging is double-layered with moisture-proof foil bags and high-density fiber drums to prevent physical damage and environmental exposure.
