Biodegradable urns manufacturers

For water burials, choose materials like salt blocks, mulberry paper, or sand-based composites that dissolve within minutes to hours. For land burials, look for cornstarch (PLA), bamboo, or recycled paper, which are designed to break down over 3 to 12 months depending on soil moisture and microbial activity.

Request certifications such as ASTM D6400 (USA) or EN 13432 (EU) for compostability. Ensure the adhesives and dyes used are non-toxic and water-based to prevent heavy metal leaching into the ecosystem. Suppliers on Made-in-China.com often provide SGS or TUV test reports to validate these eco-friendly claims.

The standard adult capacity is approximately 200 cubic inches (3.3 liters). Ensure the urn has a secure locking mechanism or a biodegradable sealant to prevent accidental spillage during transport. For 'tree urns' or 'living urns,' verify that the integrated growth medium is pH-balanced to support seedling survival.

While the urns themselves are not restricted, if they contain seeds or plant matter, they must comply with Phytosanitary Regulations of the destination country. Ensure the supplier provides a Phytosanitary Certificate to avoid customs seizure.

Biodegradable materials are often fragile or sensitive to humidity. Insist on double-walled corrugated packaging and moisture-absorbent silica gel packets. For sea freight, ensure the pallets are shrink-wrapped to protect against sea air and dampness in the container.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers; for instance, increasing an order from 100 to 500 units can often reduce the unit cost by 20-30%. Discuss OEM/Customization early, as adding custom engravings or logos requires specific tooling that affects the lead time (typically 15-25 days).

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure payments are only released upon confirmation of shipment. Always conduct a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) via a third party to verify that the material quality matches the approved sample.

For initial samples, use air express (DHL/FedEx) to test material integrity quickly. For bulk commercial orders, LCL (Less than Container Load) sea freight is the most cost-effective, but ensure the supplier uses fumigated wooden pallets or plastic pallets to meet international shipping standards.
