Big rice bag manufacturers

When selecting big rice bags, also known as FIBCs (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers), you must prioritize the Safe Working Load (SWL), typically ranging from 500kg to 2000kg. Ensure the Safety Factor (SF) is at least 5:1 for single-use or 6:1 for multi-trip use. Material-wise, look for high-density UV-stabilized Polypropylene (PP) to prevent degradation during transport. For rice specifically, a breathable woven structure or the inclusion of micro-perforations is essential to prevent moisture buildup and mold.

Since the product is for food contact, the supplier must provide FDA (US) or EC 1935/2004 (EU) compliance certifications. Ensure the manufacturing facility is ISO 22000 or BRC (British Retail Consortium) certified for food-grade packaging. Additionally, verify that the printing inks used are non-toxic and lead-free, and request a migration test report to ensure no harmful chemicals transfer from the plastic to the rice.

For efficient logistics, choose bags with Top Spout or Duffel Top for easy filling and a Bottom Discharge Spout for controlled emptying. To maximize container space, Baffle Bags (Q-Bags) are recommended as they maintain a square shape after filling, preventing bulging and allowing for up to 25% more efficient stacking in shipping containers. Ensure the lifting loops are reinforced and compatible with your forklift or crane systems.

The most common risk is material thinning, where the supplier reduces the GSM (Grams per Square Meter) of the fabric to cut costs, leading to bag breakage. To mitigate this, use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services and insist on a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by third parties like SGS or Intertek to verify the tensile strength and fabric weight match the contract specifications.

Pricing for PP woven products is highly sensitive to raw material (polypropylene resin) market fluctuations. Negotiate a formula-based pricing model if you plan on long-term procurement. For MOQs, while standard runs are often 500-1,000 pieces, you can negotiate lower quantities by choosing standard sizes (e.g., 90x90x110cm) that the factory produces regularly, allowing you to join a 'shared run'.

Big bags are bulky; ensure they are bale-pressed or palletized to minimize shipping volume and costs. During transit, moisture is the enemy; request PE liners if the rice will be exposed to high humidity. Upon arrival, store the bags in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, as even UV-stabilized bags can degrade over prolonged exposure (6+ months) in harsh environments.
