Bedding product manufacturers

When evaluating bedding, prioritize Long-Staple Cotton (such as Egyptian or Pima) for durability and softness. For luxury markets, a Thread Count (TC) between 300 and 600 is ideal; anything higher often involves multi-ply yarns which may reduce breathability. If sourcing synthetic options, ensure High-Density Microfiber (at least 90 GSM) to prevent pilling. For silk products, a Momme weight of 19-25 is the industry standard for premium quality.

Compliance is critical for market entry. Ensure suppliers hold OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification to guarantee the absence of harmful chemicals. For the US market, products must comply with 16 CFR Part 1632 and 1633 regarding flammability standards. For organic claims, verify GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certification. Always request AZO-free dye reports to ensure safety for skin contact.

Request third-party lab tests focusing on Colorfastness to Washing (Grade 4 or higher) and Dimensional Stability (Shrinkage rate <3%). For functional bedding, verify Anti-bacterial treatments (e.g., Silver Ion) or Moisture-wicking capabilities through standardized tests like AATCC 195. It is highly recommended to perform a Pilling Resistance Test (ISO 12945-2) to ensure the fabric maintains its appearance after repeated use.

A professional supplier should offer Private Labeling (woven labels and hangtags) and custom packaging such as PVC bags with inserts or eco-friendly fabric bags. Ensure they can handle Custom Sizing (e.g., California King vs. UK Super King) and offer Digital Printing or Reactive Dyeing for bespoke patterns. Check if they provide CAD design services for quilting patterns in comforters.

Implement a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third-party agency. Focus on needle detection (essential for safety in quilted items) and weight verification to ensure the GSM matches the sample. Use Made-in-China.com's Secured Trading services to hold payment until the inspection report is approved.

Bedding prices are heavily influenced by raw cotton indices. Negotiate a tiered pricing structure based on volume. If you are a startup, look for suppliers with 'Ready to Ship' stock which allows for lower MOQs (e.g., 10-50 sets), though customization will be limited. For bulk orders, aim for a 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L).

Bedding is bulky but relatively light. To reduce costs, request Vacuum Compression Packaging for pillows and comforters to minimize shipping volume. For large sea freight shipments, ensure the use of Desiccant Silica Gel packs inside the cartons to prevent mildew and moisture damage during long transit times through different climate zones.

Always verify the supplier's Business License and Export Qualification on the platform. Prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com, as these companies have undergone on-site verification by independent firms like SGS or Bureau Veritas. Avoid direct wire transfers to private accounts; always use official corporate bank accounts or platform-escrowed payment methods.
