Agricultural tyres manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize Load Index and Speed Rating to ensure the tyre can support the weight of the machinery plus its maximum load at operating speeds. For tractors, Tread Pattern (R-1, R-1W, R-2, R-3, R-4) is critical; for example, R-1W is preferred for wet, heavy soil due to deeper lugs. Additionally, consider Radial vs. Bias construction: Radial tyres offer a larger footprint, reducing soil compaction and improving fuel efficiency, while Bias tyres provide stiffer sidewalls for better resistance to punctures in forestry or rocky environments.

Verify that the manufacturer complies with ISO 9001 for quality management. For specific markets, look for DOT (Department of Transportation) markings for the US, E-mark (ECE) for Europe, and CCC (China Compulsory Certificate). It is essential to request Third-Party Inspection Reports (such as SGS or TÜV) to validate rubber compound durability and tensile strength of the steel cords or nylon plies.

To minimize soil compaction and protect crop yields, buyers should look for IF (Increased Flexion) or VF (Very High Flexion) technology. These tyres allow for 20% to 40% higher load capacities at the same pressure as standard tyres, or the same load at significantly lower air pressure, which distributes weight more evenly across the soil surface.

Perform a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis. While budget tyres have a lower initial purchase price, premium tyres often provide a 10-15% reduction in fuel consumption and a longer service life (measured in hours). On Made-in-China.com, look for suppliers offering tiered pricing where bulk orders of 50+ units can reduce the unit cost by 20-30%, making high-performance tyres more economically viable.

The main risks include deformation during long-term shipping and environmental degradation (ozone cracking) if not stored correctly. Ensure the supplier uses proper stacking techniques and UV-protective wrapping. Use Trade Assurance services on Made-in-China.com to secure your payment until the goods pass a pre-shipment inspection.

Focus on Warranty Terms rather than just price; a standard warranty should cover 3 to 5 years against manufacturing defects. Negotiate for exclusive distribution rights if you are a large-scale importer, and request customized sidewall branding (OEM) to build your own brand equity in your local market.

Agricultural tyres are bulky and heavy, significantly impacting freight costs. Optimize container space by using 'doubling' or 'tripling' methods (inserting smaller tyres inside larger ones) to maximize CBM utilization. Confirm the Incoterms; FOB (Free On Board) is generally recommended for buyers who have their own freight forwarders to better control demurrage and detention risks at the destination port.

Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties (ADD) and Countervailing Duties (CVD) which some countries (like the US or EU members) impose on specific tyre categories from China. Always check your local Harmonized System (HS) Code (typically 4011.70) against current tariff schedules to avoid unexpected customs penalties or high import taxes.
