Aerosol cans manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize material integrity and pressure ratings. Aerosol cans are typically made from tinplate steel or aluminum. For high-pressure applications, monobloc aluminum cans are preferred due to their seamless construction. Ensure the burst pressure meets international safety standards (typically 12-18 bar depending on the contents). Additionally, verify the internal coating (epoxy phenolic) to prevent corrosion, especially if the product is water-based or contains active chemical ingredients.

Compliance is non-negotiable due to the pressurized nature of the product. Suppliers must adhere to UN Certification for Dangerous Goods if the cans are pre-filled. For empty cans, look for ISO 9001:2015 for quality management and EN 15001 or DOT-2P/2Q standards (for the US market). If used for cosmetics or food, the internal lacquer must be BPA-free and comply with FDA or REACH regulations to ensure no chemical migration occurs.

Aerosol performance depends on the system integration. You must ensure the 1-inch (25.4mm) opening is precision-engineered to fit standard valves. Request leakage testing reports and spray pattern analysis. It is highly recommended to source the valve and actuator from the same supplier or a verified partner to ensure a hermetic seal, preventing propellant leakage and ensuring a consistent discharge rate.

For branding, suppliers offer lithographic printing (up to 8 colors) or shrink-sleeve labeling. In terms of physical attributes, you can specify neck-in or straight-wall designs. Advanced suppliers on Made-in-China.com can provide embossing or tactile finishes. Always request a pre-production sample (PPS) to verify color accuracy (Pantone matching) and print alignment before full-scale manufacturing.

Empty aerosol cans are bulky and susceptible to denting during transit. Ensure the supplier uses heavy-duty palletization with corner protectors and shrink-wrap. If shipping filled cans, they are classified as Class 2 Dangerous Goods, requiring specialized containers, IMO declarations, and higher freight costs. Always clarify the Incoterms; FOB (Free On Board) is recommended to maintain control over the shipping line and insurance.

Utilize secured payment services and prioritize Audited Suppliers on Made-in-China.com. Conduct a third-party factory audit to verify the supplier's automated leak-testing equipment (water bath testers). Never release the final 70% balance payment until a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) confirms that the batch meets the agreed-upon AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) for defects like scratches, leaks, or faulty valves.

Aerosol can pricing is heavily tied to global aluminum and steel indices. Negotiate a formula-based pricing model that adjusts with raw material market fluctuations. To reduce unit costs, aim for Full Container Loads (FCL) to minimize shipping overhead. Ask for a breakdown of the tooling costs if you require a custom size, and negotiate for these costs to be rebated once your cumulative order volume reaches a specific milestone.
