Refrigerant gas r32 manufacturers

R32 is a next-generation HFC refrigerant with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 675, which is approximately one-third that of R410A. It offers higher energy efficiency and a higher volumetric cooling capacity, allowing for a smaller refrigerant charge (about 30% less) in HVAC systems. When sourcing, ensure the purity level is ≥99.9% and moisture content is ≤10ppm to prevent system corrosion and compressor failure.

As a hazardous chemical (Class 2.1 Flammable Gas), R32 must comply with strict international standards. Buyers should verify ISO 9001 for manufacturing quality and AHRI 700 for product purity. For specific markets, ensure compliance with EU F-Gas regulations, US EPA SNAP approvals, and DOT-39 or EN 13322-1 specifications for the refillable or non-refillable cylinders used for transport.

R32 is classified as an A2L mildly flammable refrigerant. It is critical to ensure that all packaging features the flammable gas diamond label and that the supplier provides a comprehensive Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) in the destination country's language. You must confirm that your logistics provider is certified to handle Class 2.1 hazardous goods and that your warehouse meets local fire safety codes for flammable gas storage.

R32 is primarily used in residential and light commercial air conditioning units, heat pumps, and chillers. It is not a 'drop-in' replacement for R410A due to its flammability and higher discharge temperatures. Buyers must ensure their target market has the compatible hardware (compressors and expansion valves) and that technicians are trained in A2L-specific recovery and charging tools.

The biggest risks are regulatory non-compliance and shipping delays. Many countries have import quotas for HFCs; always verify your import license before placing an order. To mitigate quality risks, use third-party inspection services (like SGS or BV) to perform a pressure test and purity analysis before the goods leave the factory. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize 'Audited Suppliers' who have experience with hazardous chemical exports.

Refrigerant prices fluctuate based on raw material (fluorspar) costs and environmental quotas. Negotiate long-term framework agreements rather than spot-buying to secure volume. For bulk orders (e.g., 20ft containers), aim for 10-15% discounts compared to LCL rates. Request transparency on the 'quota' status of the manufacturer to ensure they have the legal right to export the volume you require.

R32 must be shipped in specialized ISO tanks or high-pressure cylinders. Ensure the supplier uses UN-certified packaging. Shipping must be conducted via Hazardous Goods (DG) sea freight, which requires a Dangerous Goods Declaration (DGD). Always use CIF or CIP Incoterms if you are not experienced in hazardous logistics, as this places the responsibility of safe transit and insurance on the experienced exporter.

Utilize secure payment terms such as Letter of Credit (L/C) or Escrow services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com. Never transfer full payment upfront; a standard 30% deposit and 70% against the Bill of Lading (B/L) is common. Ensure the Certificate of Analysis (COA) is provided for every batch and matches the cylinder serial numbers to prevent the substitution of inferior gases.
