Enema bags manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize BPA-free and Phthalate-free medical-grade PVC or Silicone. Silicone is preferred for its durability and heat resistance, allowing for sterilization and reuse, whereas PVC is often used for disposable, cost-effective kits. Ensure the material is transparent or translucent to allow users to monitor fluid levels and flow rates easily.

As a medical device, enema bags must adhere to strict regulatory standards. For the US market, FDA registration is mandatory. For the EU, look for CE Marking and ISO 13485 certification, which ensures the manufacturer maintains a quality management system specifically for medical devices. Additionally, ensure the product meets REACH or RoHS standards to guarantee the absence of hazardous chemicals.

A professional-grade kit should include a sturdy hanging hook, a kink-resistant tube (at least 1.5 meters), and a precision flow control clamp (pinch clamp or slide clamp). The inclusion of multiple interchangeable nozzles (soft, flexible tips vs. rigid tips) increases the product's marketability across different therapeutic use cases.

Request the supplier to provide pressure test reports. The connection points between the bag and the tubing are the most common failure zones; look for reinforced heat-sealed edges or threaded connectors. For open-top bags, ensure the top rim is reinforced to prevent sagging or spilling when filled to maximum capacity.

The biggest risk is customs seizure due to lack of proper medical documentation. Always verify that the supplier is listed on Made-in-China.com as a 'Diamond Member' or 'Audited Supplier' to ensure they have the legal right to export medical instruments. Another risk is material degradation during long-term sea freight; ensure the packaging includes moisture-proof barriers and UV protection.

For private labeling (OEM), suppliers usually require an MOQ of 500–1,000 units. Negotiate for a tiered pricing structure where the price drops by 10-15% as volume doubles. Request a pre-production sample to be sent via air express before the bulk run to confirm that the logo printing and nozzle fitment meet your brand standards.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by platforms like Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until the goods are shipped. For shipping, choose DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) if you are unfamiliar with medical device import taxes, as this places the responsibility for customs clearance and duties on the forwarder, reducing your operational risk.

Request a video audit of the cleanroom production line. Medical products should be manufactured in at least a Class 100,000 cleanroom. Ask for the Batch Inspection Report (COA - Certificate of Analysis) for the specific lot you are purchasing to ensure consistency in material density and sterilization (if applicable, e.g., EO Sterilization).
