Chlorodifluoromethane r22 manufacturers

Buyers must ensure the purity level is ≥99.9% to prevent compressor damage. Key parameters include moisture content (≤10ppm), acidity (≤1ppm), and non-condensable gas volume (≤1.5%). Always request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch to confirm these chemical properties meet AHRI-700 standards.

R22 is an HCFC regulated under the Montreal Protocol. It is being phased out globally due to its Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP). Buyers must verify if their country allows the import of virgin R22 or only reclaimed/recycled R22. Ensure the supplier provides an Export License and that the buyer possesses the necessary Import Quota or permits required by local environmental agencies (e.g., EPA in the US or REACH/F-Gas in the EU).

Refrigerant cylinders must comply with international pressure vessel standards such as DOT-39 (disposable) or ISO/EN standards (refillable). For bulk shipments, ISO Tanks are preferred. Ensure all containers have TPED (Pi mark) or DOT stamping and are equipped with pressure relief valves to prevent explosions during maritime transit in high-temperature zones.

R22 is primarily used as a refrigerant in residential and commercial air conditioning systems, industrial chillers, and cold storage refrigeration. It also serves as a chemical intermediate for producing PTFE (Teflon) and as a propellant in specific industrial foam-blowing applications. Due to phase-out regulations, it is increasingly used for servicing existing legacy equipment rather than in new installations.

The highest risk is counterfeit or contaminated gas, which may contain R40 or flammable hydrocarbons that can cause system explosions. Another major risk is customs seizure if the shipment lacks proper ODS (Ozone Depleting Substances) documentation. Always use third-party pre-shipment inspections to verify gas composition and cylinder pressure.

Prices for R22 are volatile due to production quotas. Negotiate based on Total Landed Cost, including Hazardous Materials (HazMat) surcharges. For large volumes, seek FOB terms to maintain control over specialized chemical logistics. On Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who offer Trade Assurance to protect your payment until the goods pass quality inspection.

R22 is classified as Class 2.2 Non-Flammable Gas (UN1018). Shipping requires a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and a Dangerous Goods (DG) Declaration. Ensure the bill of lading clearly states the chemical name and UN number. To secure the transaction, use Letter of Credit (L/C) or Escrow services that release funds only upon presentation of a valid IMO DG Certificate and shipping documents.

Stay informed about the HCFC Phase-out Management Plan (HPMP) in both the exporting and importing countries. As supply diminishes, prices will rise; consider long-term contracts with reputable manufacturers on Made-in-China.com who have stable government-allocated production quotas to ensure a consistent supply chain for your maintenance needs.
